The U13 Boys team won the district tournament with wins over the Sibley Sting and River Falls.

The win over the Sting was a thriling game that was decided on FIFA kicks.  The Boys jumped out to a 1 - 0 lead on a goal by Aaron Lozano.  The Sting countered with a goal slipping a shot past goal keeper Erik Pflanz.  Zakk Schwandt shut down the Sting in 2nd half and the overtime periods, while the Boys were also shut down.  The game was decided by the 7th kicker for South St. Paul, Jacob Behr.

On Sunday, the U13 Boys won 1 - 0 over a River Falls team that will be promoted to C1 next year.  After a scoreless 1st half, Dylan Kelly scored the only goal of the game early in the second half.  Zakk Schwandt made a number of key saves down the stretch to secure the victory.  Zakk and Eric Pflanz combined on the shut out.

The U13 Boys open State Tournament Play on Saturday evening at 7 pm in Blaine at the National Sports Center.

We will be staying at the Comfort Inn in Rochester for the tournament in June.  Please reserve your hotel rooms by 5/15/08, all rooms will be released at that time.
